Hello, lovely readers! I think there are three key habits to adopt on a daily basis to keep you
positive.
As a woman of a certain age (let's just say I'm
comfortably over the 60 mark), I've had my fair share of experiences, both
good and bad, and through it all, I've learned a thing or two about keeping a
positive mindset. Today, I thought I'd share with you my top three elements for
adopting and keeping that all-important positive mindset.
GRATITUDE
First and foremost, Gratitude. It may sound cliché, but gratitude truly is the
cornerstone of a positive mindset. I've found that no matter what life throws my
way, there's always something to be grateful for. It might be as simple as a hot
cup of tea on a cold morning, a call from an old friend, or even just the fact that
I woke up to see another day. The key is to actively look for these things and
acknowledge them. Take a moment each day to jot down three things you're
grateful for - trust me, it can be a game changer.
SELF CARE
The second element, my dears, is Self-Care. No, I'm not just talking about spa
days and indulgent treats (although those are lovely too!). Self-care is about
taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It's about eating
nutritious foods, getting regular exercise (even if it's just a gentle walk), getting
enough sleep, and taking time to do things you enjoy. Self-care also means
setting boundaries and saying 'no' when you need to. Remember, you can't
pour from an empty cup!
MINDFULNESS
Finally, the third element I want to talk about is Mindfulness. I must admit, I was
a bit sceptical about this one at first, but once I gave it a try, I was hooked.
Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment and fully experiencing
your life as it happens. It's about noticing the sights, sounds, smells, and
sensations around you. It's about taking a few minutes each day to just 'be'.
This can have a profound impact on your mood and overall outlook on life.
OK - it is what it is
So there you have it, my three key elements for adopting and maintaining a
positive mindset: Gratitude, Self-Care, and Mindfulness. Remember, it's never
